Killer Crips 3000
A downloadable game
TTRPG for 2-4 players, set in a fantasy world where disabled people fought and won a war against an ableist regime but in the process something ripped open the seams of reality bringing nightmare horrors into the world.
- 7 playable characters: Wheely, Floaty, Sticky, Friendy, Clicky, Venty, Normy.
- Spoons replace blood: gained by acts of rest and support.
- "The Cursed Tower" campaign with 9 mix & match encounters and BOSS.
- Optional extra Loot and Monsters.
The game is inspired by the lived experience of disabled people.
You can play it in real life with dice or you can play it online.
It uses D6 dice and requires one player to be the Game Manager (GM) who runs the game. The rules are based on the Havoc Engine by Rowan, Rook and Decard.
Crip is a term that we, along with some of our community, have reclaimed through disability scholarship, culture and activism. You can read about Crip reclamation here: https://nowthenmagazine.com/articles/crip-a-story-of-reclamation
Spoons: Spoon Theory was developed as a way to explain energy limitations for those with chronic illnesses. A spoon was a way to quantify the energy required for tasks. While a non-disabled person may have an unlimited number of spoons, a disabled person would only have a small number to spend on performing tasks.
